The Harbor History Museum creates myriad opportunities to experience the heritage of the greater Gig Harbor, Washington communities. We do this by collecting, preserving, and sharing the rich history of this area. Our vision is to be the cornerstone that provides a gathering place and a sense of identity for our community. Directions
The Harbor History Museum’s Galleries
are open Wednesday through Saturday, 11:00am – 4:00pm. We're located on the Gig Harbor Waterfront between Donkey Creek Park and Austin Park.

Our exhibits offer larger than life experiences, and opportunities for hands on exploration of our region’s rich history and unique heritage. Come on in!
Museum Highlights
The two largest artifacts on our campus are the Midway Schoolhouse and FV Shenandoah, a 65-foot wooden fishing boat. You'll also find the weighty remains of the first Narrows Bridge.
